For me it's almost midweek, since I do not work on weekends ^^
Yesterday the day at work was better, although we took a real drunken green tie xD
A long day full of work.
Today we continue with the task of yesterday, but we also did other things, so we did not have time to get drunk on a green ribbon, but neither did we finish with it u.u
Today we had to help with communion dresses for a little girl and her doll and another little Italian princess <3
Today, in addition to putting pins, we were cutting, unstitching, sewing and ironing. Love it.
Also, today is a day of walking! To continue exploring Canada Wood. I begin to believe that this is not about walking, but tea and scones xDDD
But I like that too ^^
Today, in addition, the topic of conversation was so interesting that I totally lost the perception of time ^^
Today they talked about the clothing market in this area of Scotland and why the Scots preferred to buy in Falkirk instead of Stirling.
Lots of interesting information to use even for self-interest.
Even those who live in Stirling do their shopping life in Falkirk instead of Stirling.
In addition, they talked about Falkirk has always had strength in the small independent and local business, something that Stirling has never had.
Stirling survives, basically, by tourists who go to the castle to see Robert the Bruce and William Wallace. The only street that keeps the business that still works well is the one that is in the castle area and is based on business for the tourist: gift shops and things like that.
They say that even the roads or the center of Stirling were never well taken care of and that little is the business that survives there.
The men commented on the inadequacy of men's clothing businesses and how difficult it was to find a place to find, for example, a good suit. And the only business that had those characteristics in Falkirk is throwing the closure to become a Primark.
They also talked about how these big cheap business as Primark and the supermarkets that sell clothes are killing that too. The small business is dying in the whole world. But it's still something strong in Falkirk. I like it.
They also commented that if they thought about opening a business they would think to do it both in Falkirk and in Bo'ness or some surrounding area that is gaining quality and fame ^^
Very relevant information for a "what if ... I'm leaving the pot in Scotland and I want to start a business?" It never hurts to know what the Scots think and where they move ^^
When I get home, we have the oven fixed, so we had a delicious ratatouille lasagna <3
